Interest Rates Fall to 5%

In a surprising move the Bank of England has reduced interest rates by 0.25% in a pretty close vote.

And interest rates are held yet again at 5.25%, not what I was expecting at all!

Interest rates have once again been held at 5.25%.

How far will interest rates fall in 2024?

It's the question everyone is asking. Assuming interest rates will come down, how far will they drop? It depends on who you ask or whose opinion you value.

Interest rates have been held at 5.25% again; this is the 5th time rates have been steady at this level, having peaked in August 2023. There may be some good news on the horizon though.

To the surprise of many, me included the Bank of England held interest rates at 5.25% today. The vote was very close though, right down to the wire close!

Interest rate rise to 5.25%, the end may be in sight!

Whilst reducing inflation is the primary goal for the MPC and despite it coming down last month, the MPC was expected to increase the interest rate again this month. And they have, a further 0.25%. However, there may be signs that this could be the last, maybe.
