Properties on the market at over £2m are becoming more common in Scotland these days although this particular property at offers over £2.5m and with its current decor is more likely to attract gasps than offers.

There are a few reports suggesting it is currently owned by Love Island contestant Anton Danyluk. That is not quite true. Well, that it might be. The property was owned by his parents who operated the "Ranch Retreat", a fitness business that appears to have closed. It was last sold about 20 years ago, probably when his parents purchased it.

Location

It is an interesting property. At £2.5m in a fairly remote area, more or less equidistant from Glasgow and Edinburgh. Within a 5 mile radius, you won't find many other properties at this value and with good reason, there isn't any really.

It isn't an area that you would want to live in unless you know you do. Nothing against the area but it is not somewhere most would consider dropping this kind of money where the only reason is 'nice house'.

There are two main buildings on the property, the house itself as a living space which includes a swimming pool.

Opportunity

For anyone with the money to spend and especially those that take their fitness seriously there is a lot of opportunities. Either keep the ranch as is and use it as a personal fitness center or it could be re-established as a business.

As you can see in the image above and below the ranch building is very much modeled on a ranch theme. But then so is the house. The styling and decor is very much personal taste, it could be changed but it will need a sizeable chunk of additional cash to achieve that.

There are other outbuildings on the land which extend to approx 10 acres adding more opportunities.

I will certainly be following up to see how long this one stays on the market and what price it eventually fetches.
